Data beside the ERP
Pipelines and external market data that sit beside the ERP, with only the result written back.
What it covers
- Data pipelines
- External market data, for example the German Marktstammdatenregister
- Commercial rules outside the ERP, with only the result written back
- A medallion layout for data that must stay auditable
Typical questions
- Which data is allowed to live outside the ERP, and which posting has to come back?
- How do we keep an external feed auditable when the source changes?
- Where does the pipeline stop, so the ERP is not asked to become a data lake?
How I approach it
The work starts with the return. A capability has to earn its place. AI stays in a bounded layer: it can propose, and people plus deterministic logic commit anything that posts, pays, or changes master data. The ERP keeps the work it already does well.
Example projects
AI tools and data products for the SAP world
Design, development, and operation of my own products: Analygits (opens in a new tab), a Chrome extension for SAP Analytics Cloud with its own SAC syntax MCP server; CoConsultant (opens in a new tab), an AI-powered design partner for clean-core extensions as a web app; and data from the Marktstammdatenregister as an OData feed for SAC.
The AI tools base their answers on documented sources rather than on the model's memory. Details are on the product pages.
Embedded analytics, market data, and liquidity planning in the public cloud
Design and implementation of SAP Embedded Analytics in S/4HANA Public Cloud, and connection of SAP Sales Cloud V2. Setup of a dynamic data layer to load and prepare external market data for processing in the extended SAC setup. Additional setup of financial and liquidity planning in SAC.
Analyze and control prices and conditions, beside the ERP
Design and build of a data pipeline with a medallion architecture that transfers all sales and purchasing data from SAP ECC into PostgreSQL, in order to analyze pricing and conditions across the company. Fully clean core, with no custom code in the SAP system.
Build of a companion pricing application that reads the current pricing and enables mass changes, and automated market-indicator-driven changes to prices and conditions, back into SAP.
